[ARCHIVED] READVERTISEMENT Town of North Wilkesboro seeks bids for construction of new water tower

[North Wilkesboro, NC, November 5, 2020] – Today, the Town of North Wilkesboro readvertised an Invitation to Bid (ITB) to all firms interested in contracting with the town to construct a multi-leg elevated storage tank on town-owned property off River Rd.

Two bids were received at the original bid deadline.

The 500,000 gallon tank is intended to improve water service to customers in the far northeast portion of the town’s service area.

A complete set of bid documents including plans and specifications is available for registered plan holders on the Duncan Parnell website (http://www.dpibidroom.com). For information on how to register as a plan holder, contact Duncan Parnell at 704-372-7766 x316.

An optional pre-bid conference was held Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 2 P.M. at the Yadkin Valley Marketplace, 832 CBD Loop, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659. Attendees were asked to wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines. The pre-bid conference was followed by a site visit at 5490 River Rd. North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.

Sealed bids will be received by the town until 3 P.M. on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 832 Main St, P O Box 218, North Wilkesboro, North Carolina 28659.
