[ARCHIVED] July 7 Board of Commissioners meeting to be held at Stone Center

[North Wilkesboro, NC, July 2, 2020] To enable social distancing, the July 7, 2020 North Wilkesboro Board of Commissioners Regular Meeting will be held at the Stone Family Center for the Performing Arts.

The Board of Commissioners has been meeting virtually since April, but expressed interest in meeting again in person if it could be done so safely. The Town Hall meeting chamber was too small to accommodate the full Board, relevant town staff, and members of the public with social distancing measures in place. The Stone Center is of sufficient square footage to maintain social distancing and accommodate all interested individuals.

Members of the public who wish to attend the meeting are asked to wear masks or face coverings, and to remain at least six feet from others while in the facility.

Governmental activities are exempt from the limit on in-person gatherings as expressed in Governor Cooper’s most recent Executive Order.

The Stone Center is located at 613 Cherry St., North Wilkesboro, NC.
