For Immediate Release: Applications being accepted for Partnership’s Small Business Micro Grant

[NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. October 30, 2021] The Downtown North Wilkesboro Partnership’s Small Business Micro Grant opens November 8, 2021 through December 6, 2021. It is available to eligible businesses located in North Wilkesboro’s designated downtown district or directly adjacent to downtown and have fewer than 20 employees, full or part-time.

In September, the Partnership was awarded $25,000 from Duke Energy’s Hometown Revitalization Grant program to be used to establish a small-business support microgrant. Partnership grants will range from $500 to $2,500 per individual business and are intended to help them recover or pivot as a result of the pandemic.

“Following months of complete and partial shutdowns, event and festival cancellations, a decreasing workforce and increasing cost of supplies, the creates an opportunity for our small-business community to plan, pivot and execute strategies for continued growth,” said Crystal Keener, Director for Downtown North Wilkesboro Partnership.
