[ARCHIVED] Power outage along North Wilkeboro grid streets Tuesday

POWER OUTAGES ALONG 9th AND TROGDON ST. AREA SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2021

[North Wilkesboro, NC, October 25, 2021] – Duke Energy has informed the Town of North Wilkesboro that there will be a power outage along the 9th and Trogdon St. corridors tomorrow, Tuesday, October 26, 2021 to accommodate upgrade work in the area.

Weather permitting, the outage is scheduled to begin at around 8:30 AM and last approximately seven hours. The alternate date is November 2, 2021. 

9th St., Trogdon St., and the 1200 block of Franklin St. will be the main north-south routes affected. Some 10th St. addresses will be affected as well. Certain addresses, typically those close to or adjacent to the north-south roads along F-K streets, will also be affected. Finally, some addresses on Trogdon Ave., Willard St. and May St. will also be subject to the outage.  

The work is part of a multi-year project to improve the capacity, reliability, and resiliency of the electrical grid in North Wilkesboro. Duke Energy and the Town of North Wilkesboro ask for residents’ patience as this work is performed.
