[ARCHIVED] Wilkes Press Release: Disaster Survival Assessment Team

 

Press Release – For Immediate Release

 

October 14, 2024 - Wilkes County, NC the Disaster Survival Assessment Team from FEMA will be at the Wilkes County Agricultural Center located at 416 Executive Drive, Wilkesboro, NC 28697.  Beginning today, Monday, October 14, 2024 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 PM.  The will also be onsite Tuesday and Wednesday, October 15 and 16, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM at the same location. 

 

 

For more information, everyone is encouraged to monitor the Wilkes County EMS Facebook Page and the Wilkes County Website. 

 

Wilkes County is one of multiple Western North Carolina counties that has been declared a federal disaster area.  Individuals needing additional assistance may be eligible for federal aid under this declaration.  Wilkes County Emergency Services will be sending out additional information about the process of applying for federal FEMA assistance once more info becomes available.
